Soap on a Rope

Oggy believes soap on a rope represents what Mankind sacrificed the planet for. This Tiki soap figure is a kind of excessive, ridiculous product complete with indestructible nylon cord that machines or children are manufacturing. Why? Why does soap on a rope exist? Is it possible for someone's whole life to be spent making soap on a rope related products? No resources, let alone someone's life, should be used to make such a frivolous item. Yet there are thousands of types of soap on a rope to choose from.

When future starved generations wonder what the hell was so important that mankind had to exhaust all the planet's resources in a few hundred years, resources that could have lasted for thousands of years, Oggy wants them to know that it was because of soap on a rope. We had to have it. The wasteland of the future will be guarded by skeletons with soap around their neck.
