America

If mankind should outlive America then it will be the word they use to strike fear into the hearts of their children when the children start talking out their ass like,

"Daddy, if we just built up a big dam over this river then we'll have all the water we want all year long."

The father will look at his child and shake his head. He will say only one word, "America."

And the kid will understand and not mention the dam ever again.

Our country's name and legacy will be synonymous with "Titanic" and "Auschwitz" for disasters that defy all logic. Only an animal that has truly run amok and abandoned any sense of humility and restraint would mortgage their future so they could return crappy Adam Sandler movies to the video store in a fucking Humvee. Some call this progress. I call it pissing in the face of the every child. We wantonly destroyed that which we relied on for life. We destroyed it and sold it at a discount to Africa, who had no idea what it was anymore but bought it anyway because it came from the west.

When future people mention the word America they will be saying, "Yes, you could sacrifice tomorrow for a brief and shallow experience today. That worked out great for...America.
