I Can Only Go Up From Here

A New Hampshire Yankee in Los Angeles. Will Oggy find fame and Fortune? Will Oggy get his car to run? Will Oggy even find a job? Probably not, but won't it be funny to read about how close he gets?

Of Mice and Men

Lenny and George wanted a house. So does Oggy.
Oggy went to a home buying seminar in Manhattan BEach.
IT was given by a Finanacer and a Real Estate Broker.
THey gave out cookies and water.
Oggy took a bunch of cookies.
The Financer said everyone could get 100% financing.
That means no money down
Then with monthly payments around 2500, Oggy believes he could make it.
None of the numbers add up but it is like having kids.
THere will never be a time when bringing a kid into the world and taking care of it and feeding it and doing shit with it will be easy.
Buying a house is never easy.
SO why wait until some magical fairy comes down and helps Oggy make the payments.
It isn't going to happen.
So Oggy has decided to just pretend that he is ready to buy a house.
If he is premature, or if the Real Estate business does not support people who pretend, then Oggy is no worst off than before and he will look in earnest for a place to rent.
But if these people can make a miracle happen and get Oggy a place to live then he is much better off than before.
Oggy isn't stupid even though his family treats him like he is.
Oggy is just in a position where it is too late to play by the rules.
So Oggy is going to buy a house. THe more he says this the closer it is to coming true.
Oggy could buy a house and plant food on it. He could live off the fat of the land. And if he wanted to raise bunnies then there isn't anyone who can tell him he can't. Because it will be his land and he will do what he wants on it.
Oggy is excited.
