I Can Only Go Up From Here

A New Hampshire Yankee in Los Angeles. Will Oggy find fame and Fortune? Will Oggy get his car to run? Will Oggy even find a job? Probably not, but won't it be funny to read about how close he gets?

Here are some haunting paintings from another blogger http://fredeinaudi.blogspot.com/

If Oggy is to make it in this world he would like to accept the eventuality of man's decay. A young child sleeping under an overpass as wild animals approach. Not dressed in rags. No. That's not Fred's style. The child is dressed in gingham. Gingham and decay. There are usually human skulls somewhere but I can't find one near the kid. She's got a coal shovel and a stuffed animal. A broken TV lays nearby. a shocking discontinuity of images. cool!

Holy War is a nice vision. This is in the not too distant future. Gasoline pumps are like old broken 8 track tapes. Maybe someone can find a use for them...but what good is a pump when there is no gas? Can you find the skull? Kind of makes you think about saying "Ten dollars on number two." Kind of a pathetic, feeble act. Is that war between men and god or men and men? OR pigeons and men? Or nature and man? Lots to ponder here, on our slow march to extinction.
