I Can Only Go Up From Here

A New Hampshire Yankee in Los Angeles. Will Oggy find fame and Fortune? Will Oggy get his car to run? Will Oggy even find a job? Probably not, but won't it be funny to read about how close he gets?

The costco price on life

L.A. Baby
Wooden Convertible Glider Cradle
$99.99

The Lady of Guadalupe Casket
$1,299.99

Why is it that a cradle that a baby lives in for 1-2 years costs under $100, but a casket that the only time you'll be in will be in is when you're dead, costs $1300?

What's that about? Seems backwards. The baby is the one who deserves some comfort. It hasn't done anything wrong yet. The old bag of bones in the casket has surely fucked things up. But it might be about the amount of money the baby has and the amount of money the old dead person has. When Oggy has a baby he's going to buy the $1300 casket from Costco and use it as a cradle. If the baby cries a lot then Oggy will just close the lid. Protection and punishment! And Oggy will buy a $100 cradle at the same time and write a note on it: "For when you die."
What is a cradle, but the love we hold in our hearts? And what is a casket, but a vessel to the grave? Or maybe Oggy will just keep the casket and reuse it. It was good enough to grow up in, it's good enough to get buried in.
